Level 2 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge - Components of Fitness & Principles of Training.
The aims of this class are for you to be able to recall the components of fitness and principles of training, identify the benefits of cardiovascular training , factors affecting physical fitness and the recommended guidelines for training.
Level 2 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge - Joints
The aims of this class are for you to be able to recognise the different types of joints and where they are found in the body, to be able to name and locate the synovial joints in the body and to be able to label, describe the function of and draw a synovial joint.
Level 2 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge - Somatotypes and Planes
The aims of the class are for you to be able to recognise the different body types and the terms used in relation to them, distinguish their different characteristics and relationship with exercise and to be able to name and locate the planes of the body.
Level 2 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge - Cardio-Respiratory System.
The aims of this class are for you to be able to draw and label a heart and lungs, recall the journey of blood flow around the body, distinguish between the systems which sustain life and be familiar with all relevant terms.
Level 2 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge - Muscles
The aims of this class are to look at the different types of muscle in the body and their function. Upon completion you should be able to draw and label a muscle cross section, describe the sliding filament theory and identify the sections.
